Starting in 2023, Element will be an official member of “Engage for the Planet”, the French-based affiliate of the World Wildlife Fund.
As a skateboard company, it is obvious to the brand that the skateboard decks have an impact on forests where trees are harvested to produced them. And, as a global leader in the area of conservation and protection of forests around the world, WWF is the ideal partner to Element work with and to improve their overall impact on the planet.
Forests provide habitat to upwards of 80% of the world’s land-based biodiversity and are the largest absorbers of carbon emissions on the planet. Thus, it is essential to the future of our planet that these habitats are not just protected, but actively nurtured through various projects and solutions that WWF and its partners can help to provide. It is with the expertise, history and global network of ecological professionals of WWF that Element will be able to best utilize their financial pledge as a member of 1% for the Planet.
As we represent the brand in Portugal, we are proud to work with and share the journey of Element towards being a more responsible member of our society.
